Course on Sampling, Isolation, Identification, and Taxonomic Analysis of Mycorrhizae
Dear Participants,
We are planning an international workshop titled "Isolation, Identification, and Taxonomic Classification Strategies for Arbuscular Mycorrhiza Fungi (AMF)" from August 28th to September 1st, 2023. The workshop will take place at the Rhizosphere Laboratory of the Department of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition at Çukurova University, Adana.
Over the past 30 years, we have conducted numerous fields, greenhouse and labs. experiments in our department, leading to significant discoveries. However, we recognize that there is still much to learn. Guided by the philosophy that "knowledge grows when shared," we have organized this short course to share our expertise in this field with other researchers.
The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the most recent genetic research on the isolation, identification, and taxonomic classification of mycorrhizal spores from helpful bacteria in soil. We will also go through the scientific and technological components of the most recent advancement in mycorrhizae research.
Many academics in our nation and outside have taken an interest in this subject. Our department's efforts led to the organisation of two national and one international course that trained hundreds of researchers on mycorrhiza. Future improvements to our institution and department will undoubtedly be made as a result of this course.
The course will be conducted in the Rhizosphere laboratory with the help and involvement of students and technical staff who are engaged in research activities.

Mikorizanın sporlarının örneklenmesi, izolasyonu, tanımlanması ve taksonomik analizi konulu kurs programı
Değerli katılımcılar,
Bölümümüz tarafından 28 Ağustos - 1 Eylül 2023 tarihleri arasında “mikoriza sporlarının izole edilmesi, tanımlanması ve taksonomik sınıflandırılması stratejileri (isolation identification and evaluation strategies for Arbuscular Mycorrhiza Fungi (AMF))” başlıklı bir uluslararası bir çalıştay düzenliyoruz. Çalıştay Ç.Ü: Toprak Bilimi ve Bitki Besleme Bölümü Rizosfer laboratuvarında gerçekleşecektir.
Son 30 yılda bölümümüzde yürüttüğümüz onlarca deneme sonuçları ile çok şey öğrendik. Halende öğreneceklerimizin olduğu muhakkaktır. “Bilgi paylaşıldıkça çoğalır” felsefesinden yola çıkarak bu konudaki birikimlerimizi ülkemizin diğer araştırıcıları ile paylaşmayı ilke edinerek kısa bir kursu düzenledik.
Söz konusu kursun amacı: Toprakta bulunan yararlı mikroorganizmalardan mikoriza sporlarının izole edilmesi tanımlanması ve taksonomik olarak sınıflandırılması konusundaki genetik çalışmalar konusundaki son gelişmeler ve kullanılan bilimsel ve teknik konular işleyeceğiz.
Bu konu ülkemiz araştırıcılarına üniversitemiz tarafından benimsetilmiştir. Bu vesileyle bölümümüzün öncülüğünde daha önce 2 ulusal ve 1 de uluslararası kurs düzenlenmiş yüzlerce araştırıcıya mikoriza konusunda kurs verilmiştir. Bu kurs ekseninde bu tür çalışmaların sonuçları ileride artıları ile üniversitemize ve bölümümüze döneceği muhakkaktır.
Kurs laboratuvarda araştırıma faaliyeti sürdüren öğrenci ve teknik personel ile yürütülecektir.
